“I was given a 50/50 chance of survival” — Sikiratu Sindodo recounts battle with strange illness

Nollywood actress Sikiratu Sindodo has opened up about her battle with a strange illness that left her in a coma and doctors giving her a 50/50 chance of survival.

The actress, speaking in an interview with Oyinmomo TV, revealed that the illness initially appeared to be malaria and typhoid before her condition gradually deteriorated.

She said she was taken from one hospital to another as her family sought treatment, adding that she could not remember exactly how long the illness lasted but believed it continued for several months.

“I was sick like someone who had malaria. Malaria/typhoid, that was it, and that was how it started gradually. From one General Hospital to another. I can’t remember how long it lasted. I think it lasted for months because I was in a coma and was given a 50/50 chance. My mum was even told to go home,” she said.

Reflecting on the experience, Sikiratu, who said she did not want to become emotional while recounting her ordeal, expressed gratitude to God for seeing her through the difficult period.

“God answered a lot of prayers in my life. God has been faithful because I don’t want to be emotional,” she said.

The actress also addressed the reports and public speculation surrounding her alleged relationship with MC Oluomo.

According to her, the attention and discussions surrounding them became overwhelming.

“The noise was too much. I didn’t know the noise would be that much,” she said.
